Collegiate Events Information All Collegiate entries close April 4th, 2008. Entry forms: Entry forms may be downloaded from the list of collegiate events listed in the menu below. Please return your entry form to the address listed on it. Fees: Singles: $35.00 Doubles: $40.00 per team. Fees must be paid at time of entry. Please request

passes, Collegiate coaches with proper identification and whose player's
names appear on the roster will be issued wrist bands. Only one assistant college coach may be registered and his/her name must appear on the entry form. Coaches' spouses, family and friends of players or
coaches will be required to purchase spectator tickets to gain entrance

Championships Women's Independent College Championships Women's Singles Women's Doubles Open to women tennis players from all four-year collegiate institutions not members of the PAC-10. The Committee Chair for this event is Ann Lebedeff. Each college or university may enter three singles players and two doubles teams. Players may play in both of these events, but not in any other event. In addition to winner and runner-up awards, the Frank T. Heffelfinger Challenge Team Trophy, the Garland Jenks Doubles Trophy, and the Florence H.R. Gorham Singles Trophy will be awarded. Headquarters for this event will be The Pierpont Racquet Club (PRC). Matches will be played at the Pierpont Racquet Club(PRC) and Ventura College(VC) on Thursday and Friday. Matches will be played in Ojai on Saturday and Sunday. Men's Independent College Championships Men's Singles Men's Doubles Open to men tennis players from all four-year collegiate institutions not members of the PAC-10 Conference. The Committee Chair for this event is Mark Bohren. Each college or university may enter three singles players and two doubles teams. Players may play in both of these events, but not in any other event. Doubles matches will be 8 game pro sets until the finals. The finals will be 3rd set super tiebreaker. In addition to winner and runner-up awards, the William A. Fairburn, Jr. Challenge Team Trophy, the Joseph O. Bixler Doubles Trophy, and the John H. Morrison, Jr. Singles Trophy will be awarded. Men's Community College Championships Men's Singles Men's Doubles Open to men tennis players from any community college in California. The Committee Chairs for this event are Scott Strange and Nelson Emery. Each college may enter two singles players and two doubles teams. Players may play in both of these events, but not in any other event. Community college eligibility must be certified by the community college athletics directors in accordance with State Community College Athletics Commission rules. In addition to winner and runner-up awards, the Harry Gorham Memorial Challenge Team Trophy, the Ojai Valley Country Club Singles Trophy, and the Frank T. Heffelfinger Doubles Trophy will be awarded. Division III Men's West Regional College Championships Men's Singles Men's Doubles

I want to apologize The 108th Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament will once again be held from April 24-27 in the lovely town of Ojai and surrounding areas. For the 12th consecutive year, the Men's Division III event will be a part of this tournament and will start on Friday April 25th at Moranda Park in Port Hueneme. Matches on Saturday and Sunday will be held in Ojai, with both the singles and doubles final being played at historic Libbey Park. The Men's Division III singles event will consist of a maximum of 48 players, while the Men's Division III doubles event will consist of a maximum of 24 doubles teams (subject to change by the Committee). The singles winner will receive the Ted Ducey Singles Trophy, while the doubles winners will be presented the Jim Verdieck Doubles Trophy. Last year's champions were Matt Seeberger (UC Santa Cruz, singles) and Justin Larimore/David Miller (Pacific Lutheran, doubles) This year's Ojai Committee will be Carl Swanson (Linfield), Will Marino (Chapman), Geoff Roche (Redlands) and Paul Settles (CMS). Entries for the Division III event will close on Any players that are not accepted will have the opportunity to participate in the Men's Independent College draw, should you desire to do that. All matches in singles will be the best of three tiebreak sets. All matches in doubles (with the exception of the finals) will be an 8 game pro-set, tiebreak at 8 games all. The doubles final will play the best of three tiebreak sets. The tournament has asked for this format for spectator purposes. FYI, the 2008 Ojai Tournament is scheduled to be held
on April 23-26,
with the Division III Men's event to start on Friday April 24th.
