  • “An Evening with Tracy Austin” of food, wine, and music will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Topa Mountain Winery.  Make your reservation now!
  • California State Community College Men and Women’s Team Championship will be held in Ventura on Wednesday, April 25.
  • Pac-12 Women’s Team Championship Finals will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 12:00pm in Libbey Park. (Play begins on Thursday, April 26)
  • Pac-12 Men’s Team Championship Finals will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 3:00pm in Libbey Park. (Play begins on Wednesday, April 25)
  • CIF Finals will be held at Libbey Park on Saturday, April 28 at 6:00 pm
  • Junior finals will be held at Libbey Park on Sunday, April 29.
  • All Community College, DIII and Independent Singles and Doubles finals will be held at Libbey Park on Sunday, April 29.

The Ojai has announced tennis Hall of Famer Tracy Austin as the 2018 Tournament Honoree. Austin, who grew up in Southern California and burst onto the tennis scene when she won The Ojai Women’s Open division in the late 1970s, will be honored during the tournament’s special fundraising event.

More about Tracy Austin:

Tracy won 30 singles titles and 5 doubles titles during her amazing career, which included wins at The Ojai starting back in 1978 when she won the Girls’ 16s. She was a two-time U.S. Open Champion (1979 & 1981) and won the Wimbledon Mixed Doubles title in 1980 partnering with her older brother John. A former world No. 1 player, Tracy was the youngest player to be inducted into the International Hall of Fame in 1992. Tracy can be seen at tennis’ top events and has been the face of the U.S. Open for more than 20 years for USA Network and Tennis Channel.

 

 

2018 Tournament Highlights:

  • Open Division Prize Money has increased to $30,000.
  • Pac-12 Men’s Team Championship have added a 9th school for tennis, Arizona State University.
  • Pac-12 Women will be playing a Team Championship format for the 2nd year.
  • California State Community College Team Championship for both Men and Women will be held in Ventura.
  • This will be the inaugural year for a DIII Women’s Singles and Doubles Championship.
